i cleaned my filter this past weekend, afterwards, i felt like my car actually lost some power. is this normal? i know the intake is not as loud for sure, maybe that's why i feel like i lost some power...
nothing will really happen except what already has. you could try to wipe some of the oil off w/ a cloth.toekneelai said:haha, i guess i did over oil it, what would happen if you over oil it??? and what should i do if i did???

haha true...me and tony just kept on spraying oil untill oil started drippiing out like waterBNut said:I did the same thing too the first time I overoiled my filter. I didn't realize it takes time for the oil to seep into the filter and that if you just wait 5 minutes after oiling, most of the white spot will go away as the oils spreads throught he filter.
I just kept spraying more and more oil on until the entire filter was red. Then I realize it was too much oil when the oil started dripping off the filter. I tried using paper towels to soak up the excess oil but there was so much I just gave up and put the filter back in my car. For next 2 days I had oil dripping in my engine bay and then it finally cleared up after that.
