im looking to put a b16a head on a b18b block. the question i have is, if i do this, will there be any needed modifications to the internal parts of the engine? i.e. pistons and rods. are there any other problems that i might run into? Thank you

No internal work is needed. You may run in to oil leak(s) if the VTEC feed line is incorreclty/poorly hooked up. Just make sure its done right and DO NOT half-ass/rig ANYTHING.
Good luck.

Use a set of new b16 pistons with a new set of rings...but thats about it...You will have better compression that with the ls pistons or old b16 pistons..it also adds reliability
