ok here is the situation, ive got a wireless router setup to my modem, but the signal is weaksauce by the time it hits my garage so i get constant disconnects on my garage computer, i do however have an extra wireless router laying around, SO i was thinking of putting that inbetween the garage and the AP and basically having 2 networks, having the second router access the first as a gateway....i know theres a way to do this but ive not done it, any ideas? do i just point router #2 to router #1 as gateway?

I"m no expert but I think if you can figure out the second routers MAC address, you can add it to the safe list on the 1st routers list and make it work.
well i know routers can "talk" to eachother, i went to school for this i just forgot :) what you are talking about is a MAC filter list, i dont think that will do it because the 2nd router i BELIEVE is looking for a modem on a WIRED port, i need to figure out how to make it look for another wireless router to use as a gateway....either that or i have to run cat5 in the damn walls, and i dont wanna do that, expensive, and a PITA i hate pulling wires

thanks, but this is a diffrent situation, i happen to have all the pieces i need laying around, as opposed to someone who wants to BUY something be it a router or booster, i want to use what i have, if i cant figure it out, ill just hardwire it, no big deal, id just rather not pay for the cable, and parts
