You can get them welded over and your hatch repainted pretty easily. I'm getting mine done in the rear for $215, including welding and repainting the hatch Emblems cost like $60 for both of em, so it will pay for itself because of all the dumbass emblem thieves around here... Just don't use bonda cuz it will look like crap after awhile, due to the bondo settling...

I know you guys are talking about 3rd gen, but I took the emblems off the back of my 91 (2nd gen) and there were holes behind every emblem back there. Even the small "GS" emblem had two holes.
