i have been racing a 96 gti vr6. I have a 97 prelude with an Aem CAI. We are pretty equal until i get into 3rd he starts to pull a little. I have an exhaust on the way, the thermal rnd and i want to know what i should do next to make my car faster than his.

yeah these suckers are quick...they have plenty of torque and can pull...i've never raced one from a dead stop but on highways, we couldn't get a good race going cuz of too many people...but he seems like he'd take me..

take him to the twisties. the golf gti vr6 can and will take a little to non-modded lude on the straight line almost every time, more torque lighter car. but these things handle for shit. and he won't be able to hang with your lude when there's nothing less than a straightaway. but yeah, get the basic i/h/e and you'll have a better chance against him. cam gears, maybe pulleys. or you can just go with a turbo or supercharger and the golf will just be soemthing of the past.

Really? I've raced my friend in his and he's a pretty good driver.. I beat him every time we race. All I have is i/e.
