since im going to be boosting here in a few months, I was wondering if I should take the secondaries out on this new manifold. I think it would be better to have less restriction. anyone shed some light on this?
Well the the secondaries open up at a certain RPM or around Vtec engagement. They stay closed to gain bottom end torque, but open up for high end HP. I havent disconnected the vaccum to mine yet after going OBDI, but i dont think its all that big of a deal right now. In your case, boost, yeah sure pull em out, youll want the most airflow possible with more PSI bombarding itself towards the head.
You'll want more plenum volume when you boost, so leave them in but disconnect them.
And until you boost I would leave them be so you have more low end torque. Though it does give you more power like 500 rpms lower I like my torque. Also do you really need more horsepower at 3700 rpm? It's not like your racing that low.
