as i understand it, you can either use the heat-gun method to expand the plastic, and then slide the handle off.
OR, you can go nutzo on your car and saw the handle off (lengthwise of course!). there's no screws, so there really aren't any other ways to get it off. unless you can disconnect the brake lever as was mentioned with the Accord. dunno if this will work though.
