do you leave the extension the way it is? for example if you got a file name "superhonda.txt" and rename it to "sho" without the .txt extension that message will pop up.

that message will also come up if you were to change "superhonda.txt" to "superhonda.nfo"

get what i mean?

i never have that problem...i edit most of my icons and they stay normal...

wat i do is right click that icon and go to properties and go to Change, this will change it to wat ever format you want...like txt, mp3, avi, etc etc...

mines is like that i can change it and it'll stay the same cuz the format stays the same unless i change it by clicking properties...
