Has anyone had to replace their half-shafts on a regular basis, like once a year. I've had my car lowered for about 6yrs now and my current set up is Neuspeed Race 2" drop, Tokiko Blues, and Ingalls Camber Kit on 215/40/17. I don't really know what is normal wear and tear on axels on a lowered car. Am considering going to a 1" drop because its costing me $120 a pop for each half shaft. Need Advise!!!!!

lowering the car stretches the axle boot and causes premature wear on the axle. it is very common among lowered vehicles.

i have gone through two left axles and one right axle in the past year. it sucks.

wear is gonna happens when u lower ur car no matter if it's 1.75" or 1" juss gotta deal wit it if u want a lowered car..

my uncle knows a lot about cars and he said you would think that a lowered car would put less stress and tension on the Cv Boot *both sides of mine broke*

I havent had any problems with mine, and I'm lowered about 2.3" or so on coilovers, and I race my car at the dragstrip every other week or so. I've had to replace one axle and thats when I did my auto-manual swap, cuz the auto axle won't work. L8r
