Hey Everyone,
I'm still 'semi-new' to the honda world, my previous car was an old 2.2 Turbo; I just put a new muffler on my del sol, and was wondering what the advantages of taking out the resonator would be? Is there going to be any sound difference, performace increase, etc?

Thanks!

if you are getting a custom welded cat back.......then what you will see is a raspy noise at higher RPMs....it is a little deeper sounding at lower RPMs.....(which can be annoying).......performance wise you will see no gains

The resonator kills out the sound range that the muffler cant like that mid tone fart sound

if the resonator is straight-through then it will not harm performance. there is no need to remove resonators or cats(replace with high-flow if possible). soundwise i'm sure it would be louder w/o resonator.
