I'm probably going to do a engine swap over the summer, but i was wondering if rsx engines are for sale yet? I imagine they would be pretty expensive just thought i'd think abuot it though. Would that engine even fit into a 98 civic hb?

No i dont think its a possible swap...but hey you can do anything with the right amount of money. If I were you i'd look into a b18b or a b18c depending on what you want to do later on
Isn't the engine like flipped the other way or something?
well i eventually wanna do turbo and nitrous, but who knows if i'll ever get that far in working on my car. Is b18b gsr, and b18c typer?
you can't swap RSX engines-- they spin in the opposite direction of regular honda engines.
ha

6 gears reverse one gear foward.... nice.

USDM b18c1- 94-00 integra gsr 170hp/128tq

USDM b18b- 94-00 integra ls/rs/gs 142/127

USDM b18c5- 97-98,00 integra type R 195/130

JDM b18specR- 95-00 integra type R 197/134

JDM b18c- 95-97 integra SiR 178/129
The RSX engine would fit in the 01+ civic. I alrady saw one for sale on ebay.

It was like $5k. I'm not sure if it was the type s or not.

I'm off like a prom dress.......before you get to the dance!!
The rotation of the engine is not a big issue with swapping. I know someone currently working on an rsx-s swap into a 2k1 Civic (whose d17A2 spins counterclockwise, while the rsx's k20A2 spins clockwise, it all can be worked out). Also, a swap would be difficult since the engine is not designed to fit into your car, while it is designed for the new civic/rsx. Id stick to tried and true b16 or b18 swaps. Just my 3 cents. Peace

which engine would you reccommend for me? not looking to do anything amazing possibly turbo and nos eventually. I have a 98 civic, which would also be legal to swap?

I say this one. Its what I have. Its got a lot of tourqe. Not too pricey either. You can get them for about $3300-3700. Sometimes you can even get the one w/LSD tranny.

My engine came out of a 96 HB that did low 14's with just that motor, car gutted.

These are easier to find than type r and USDM gsr.

Quite cheaper than type r too.

smell ya later...........
