For the second day running, Japan's Takuma Sato crashed at the Jerez track during testing. Following Tuesday's rear wing failure and visit to the medical centre, it's understood that the BAR driver - who also had a morning gearbox failure - experienced another technical problem.
Sato, with just 12 laps in the bag, then returned to the hotel. "We don't know what happened," he said prior to leaving.
Meanwhile, a Brackley-based spokesman told us that engineers had not yet determined the cause of Tuesday's wing breakage.
