Can any of you guys recomend a good jack to lift up a lowered car? I was thinking of getting a hydrolic scissors jack. Is this a good idea?

I don't like scissors-jacks just because they look unstable to me. I personally use and recommend floor-jacks. Lowered cars are kind of different though. What I'm going to get when I put my coilovers on are something like this:

It's a progressive jack ramp made especially for lowered cars, that adds 3" of clearance to your car so you can then jack it up further. It's $40 for the set of two from that website. I guess you could always try jackstands too.

Thanx for the advice, I might consider those. But the only reason I wanted a scissor jack is because a regular hydrolic jack arm would push up against my front bumper and probably crack it. I did see a scissor jack with a wide metal base, but I don't remember where I saw it? Does any body know?
Also, what web site are you talking about?
I got that from http://www.protechproducts.net . They also offer pads for jackstands if you want to go that route. They have a bunch of stuff there for people who want to take extra special care of their suped up car. It's a pretty good site, check it out. You shouldn't put a jack under the bumper anyways, you should put it under the car behind the front tire on the hard flooring of the car.
i drive my car up onto blocks of wood so i can get the jack under it. but the original scissors jack fits underneath for incase i get a flat. but that takes to long.
I usually jack up my car using the front jack point just behind the bumper, so I can lift up both front tires. But Now that I have a body kit, the bumper hangs too low and so do the side skirts. So I was thinking of using a hydrolic scissors jack to jack up the car, because there is no arm to crack the bumper or side skirts.

Well if you use the jack ramps then you'll have clearance to use a floor jack. You don't have to turn it out towards your sideskirt, you can run it parallel to the sideskirt if you want. Also a floor jack's jackpoint moves at a steeper angle as you lift it too. Anyways, I'd really suggest some of those jack ramps to get some extra clearance. Hell 3" is higher than where your car was stock unless you slammed it.
Thanx GSR, I'll problably get some of those ramps and hope that I can jack it with my floor jack.

HIN is my 3-year anniversary with my g/f so I dunno if I'll be there or not.
I drive the H22 powered integ :D onto a 4X4 wood block that measures 1 foot long. Then i proceed with a floor jack. If iam at work, i just use our lift.
I do that to, but I'm putting my kit on later this week, and I'm just worried about clearance problems. Do you have a kit on your car? Can any one with a body kit help me out?
The wood block would go under ur tire so the kit would probably clear it. The stock jack points wont be interfered by a body kit anyway. No i dont have a kit. Only ITR lip.
Which jack point do you use? The one up front, or the ones on the sides. Does the jack clear your lip?
I can use either the front or the sides. With my car on the 4X4 block, it fits on either locations.
