I spent 7 hours removing the master cylinder....3 hours removing the slave...cuz Honda loves to put important things in awkward places....they do this so you gotta take it to the dealer...now that i finally removed both system...trying to bleed the fluid through it...followed instruction carefully....pump, release....pump....did it for half an hour straight...wasted like 2 pints of fluid...not a damn pressure into the clutch..the pedal sticks to the ground........ARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!:(

And I was gettin crap about taking my car in to get my cv boots done professionally.. ;)

changing CV boots is A LOT easier than chaning clutch master and slave cylinder....consider the bolts are hidden in places that you can't get to...;)

shit i usually take my oil to get done, by the time i go and buy it all, jack up the car get all the oil down my arm form getting that damn oil filter off and go inside shower and shit..its really not worth the 5 or so dollers i would save sitting in that nice airconditioned or heatd waiting area:laughy:

but atleast u know u are doing it right...the shop would not let the oil drip out all the way..they are lazy....they keep dirty oil in there as well....if you want something done right u do it yourself..

yea i used to work at a quick lube a few years ago, they deffinatly dont let all the oil drain out, and they use shitty oil filters and shitty oil(some). i change my own oil always
you dont even have to jack up the car on 4th gens (provided your car isnt lowered). i can squeeze under there and get the oil filter off no problem

The problem might be in the slave cylinder. Mine was leaking and it stuck to the floor just like how you describe. I had it changed out professionally tho ... my dear ole ma said she'd pay for it.

I used to have my oil changed because i was too lazy and it's just easier to have it done while i was at class. But one day.... they stripped my oil pan and claimed that it wasn't their fault and that it was ready to be stripped anyway from being old. They were rotating my wheels and broke off like 2 lug nut studs per wheel, again refused responsibility saying that they were old and brittle (aka forgot to call me to ask about the wheel lock key and jammed the closest thing in there and suprise suprise stripped it then broke off the nut to get the wheel off.) It pissed me off so fucking much, the guy was being such an asshole to me too. He was some new manager at this place that our whole family goes to. Everybody but him knew me by name for chrisakes. I told em to eat a dick, bought a new oil pan, installed the shit out of it. Put 4.5quarts of mobil 1 tri synthetic in, and talked to the guys at discount tire where i bought my yok paradas and they replaced my studs cuz theyre cool like that and they like my car. i'm never taking my car to a mechanic again. Nothing is ever going to be too hard with the right tools.

Well, heres 2 way of doing it. the first way requires 2 people to complete the task and is the way that your instruction manual proably says. youre gonna need 2 bottle of DOT3 brake fluid, one to fill up the master cyclinder, other one will have a tube in it connected to the slave cyclinder's bleed valve. suspend the bottle that is used for the slave up above the slave cyclinder. one person use a 8mm wrench to open and close the valve. One at the clutch pedal pumping. The person that is holding the bottle has to open and close the valve just a bit. until theres no bubbles in there and keep on filling up the master cyclinder.

Usually i find it to work better when the bottle is on the ground, sometimes it works better when its suspended in the air. Try both method.

2nd choice is, to go to a local hardware or a farm animal supply store, and get a large styrigne, and a tube that will match the styrigne and the bleeder valve and get 2 small hose clamps, the one that you can screw to tighten. connect the hose to the bleed valve and tighten up the clamp and samething to the styrgine. Make sure you have brake fluid in the styrigne and the hose before connecting it to the bleed valve. Then open the bleed valve and force the brake fluid into it but the master cyclinder's fill tank will overflow, dont worry about that thats normal cause youre forcing fluid into there.

I find the 2nd choice the best method for me.

But remember that theres no fluid in the hose or slave and master cyclinder cause you just replace those 2 parts right. so its gonna take a while longer and more brake fluid is needed usually just need one bottle but have 2 in case.
