I know, it's in the civic forum, but I am a civic "people" looking at this other ride.
So, here are the specs:
• 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine
• 6-speed manual transmission
• 175 hp @ 6,000 rpm
• 180 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm
• 2,771 lbs (don't forget it is a 4 door)
• 17-18K off the lot
• front strut tower brace
"stiffer suspension bushings (polyurethane in front) and springs so firm we actually had to soften up the shock damping just to compensate"
My Comments:
The rear angle of the car doesn't really appeal to me and of course on the lot it looks like a 4X4 truck (needs lowering badly). The interior only comes in the "lava" color. Although I really wish I could get the yellow interior below, it was only a prototype color. I plan to go drive one in the next weekend or so to see if all the hype about the "autocross ready suspension" really holds up. Plus, I would love to feel the 180 lbs-ft of torque w/ a six speed. The interior, even though "lava" colored is very sporty looking, race-like seats, nice shape to the shift knob, and a decent amount of space.
So, since I am in the market for a family type car but don't want to lose the....well, you know, this seems like a decent little car. Now, if they would just change that rear end and get the yellow on yellow!!! (plus, they prototyped a blue on blue - very nice)
