I have an 88 DX hatch and a set of GSR seats. I had to give my stock seats to the kid I bought my seats off. Took something off the price.

Anyway, my question.....are the seat rails for all 4th Gen (all years and all trim levels) the same????? Can I get seat rails from any year, any trim level of a hatch and they'll work?

If someone can help me iwth this, it'd be great. TIA!!!!!

I think to get it to work, you need to swap the bottom of the seats. Put the metal bucket from the crx seats on to the gsr seats. Then you'll be able to use the crx seat rails. I'm not sure if all the seat rails are the same. I think there may be some differences between them.

That's what i'm trying to obtain. It's acutally a hatch but no biggie. I have directions on how to put seat rails onto the GSR's.

Just wondering if all the seat rails were the same for the all the 4th Gen's. It's a lot broader of a search if they are all the same.

No there not all the same, you're going to need to find 88 hatch seat rails. 89 is different, and 90-91 are different from that. I'm just trying to get a 90-91 Si hatch seat in my car, and it's a bitch trying to find one, so for right now I bought some rails at the junkyard and welded on brackets so I could use my CRX seats in the hatch for now, but it's shady at best! You better get those seat rails back from that kid:D

OK...so we have it narrowed down to only 88's.

Thanks for the help guys......

NOW.......Different trim levels....are they wider or the same??? Can I use 88 CRX seat rails?? Or are those different then the hatches?? Trying to see if I need to narrow down the search that much more.

basically this is the deal,

the seats in honds and the seat rails are the same 9generally9 as long as you are in the same year.
but the CRX is dif cause it's a little bitch car.. so you'll prolly need some custom crap. even if it wider.. just bolt one side in.. have a friend pull/push and you shove a bolt in there.. and bam.. more shit rolling on the streets.. hehehe... that's what I did, how I got my G2 teg seats in my 87 CRX hehehe

I was able to get a set of 93 Teg seats in my CRX. I swapped the metal buckets out (you use the 93 teg seat cushion on the crx bucket) and then bolted the upper part of the Teg seats to the CRX bucket. It worked fine. It is definitely an all day job, but they are a lot more comfortable than the ripped up rex seats that were in there. There is a link on how to do this, but I don't have it with me. I am traveling right now (work) and won't be home till this weekend. I will try yo find it then. By the way, the rails are different on the CRX compared to most Honda's. The above method works and looks much better......
