Sell turbo and get b16?

hey guys, ever since i bought a greddy kit fo my car its been a pain in the ass...radiator went, rough idle,piston rings,and other small problems...its been fun when everythings been running good but i want something i wont have to constantly maintain..i was thinking if i should sell the tubo and with some extra $$ get a b16a?

a b16 with some bolt ons can take out a SOHC turbo so I´d say do the swap

Hey importsol , ur only like 50 miles from me. heh I by Middletown,NY . I got my sol from Poughkeepsie. 1994 Red DOHC Vtec I didn't read that it was a SOHC. You guys got a poughkeepsie sol club. Cause there are shit loads there. Saw 3 of them on the way to pick mine up. coulda been you. heh
Any good shops around the area? that Do good work?

hey whats up, yeh its a sohc greddy kit...shit..ohh well..yeh theres some nice sols around here...not that many so im happy..basically you wont see another sol that looks the same...nobody thought about starting a sol club yet...as for shops, hmmm..its kinda tough..basically as for body an stuff theres a guy in poughkeepsie with really good deals that customizes bikes and old cars and has awesome prices..im gettin my fender flares put on there..he also does engine werk too, had my distributor put in there...as for mechanics...honestly i do most of my werk myself...put the whole turbo kit in myself, radiator,exhaust and if anythign goes really wrong i usually go to him..we should all meet up sometime and cruise..try to get the other guys together too. payce

intake, header and exhaust and if you really want to blow the doors away you can get a nice set of cams and cam gears.

I´ve decided to get the swap in the summer (still paying the loan for the supra:mad: ) instead of boosting my SOHC, just got to figure out what motor to get.

i doubt a B16 with just basic addons can beat a SOHC Turbo.

If it were me, i'd keep the turbo, save up for & buy a B16. Turbo that thing, along with a MOTEC system and 310cc injectors, intercoled, and you'll be laughing.
Also depends what mods are on the SOHC turbo. :) They also can be made quick.

How much were you thinking of selling it for? $100 and I'll take it off your hands. ;) jk
this sux, been tryin to sell this thing for a whilenow along with my extreme rear..stil have no luck...ohh well i guess ill keep trying and maybe hit up ebay..thnx guys
It all comes down to the driver. I'd say build the D16Z6 and run 20lbs of boost. I'd take that any day. Or save up fro a B16 adn Turbo that.

I disagree.
It all depends on how much boost their running and the mods they have.
If the SOHC VTEC is running 15lbs then hell no.
But I still wouldp ut my $$ on the SOHC VTEC Turbo
20psi of boost is not for an every day ride, I´ve taken out SOHC with 12-15psi of boost so thats why I say a B16 will kill a boosted D16
i say sell it and sell it fast coz those small problems will soon cost u more than the price of the turbo kit hehehe ..

seriously go for the swap ...
How much boost can you safely develope in a d16z6 with the turbo kit intercooled??
I would have to say no more than 5 if you doint want to be detonating
with some tuning i say 7...im at 5.5 now and have no problems really since i got it tuned...engines been runnin just as good as before turbo except for the piston rings being shot
