Setting your timing

I have my cam timing advanced 4 degrees right now and my ignition timing retarded. I am putting on a btm. So should I return my iginition timing back to stock and use just the btm to retard the timing?? I am going to be boosting 8psi, how many degrees per pound of boost do most people retard approx.??
