I have this problem also (sometimes). And I just have a cheap shifter. Is the exhaust stock? IF so, did you take out the heat shield? I took the shiel out and still ahd to trim the flange on the linkage to clear the exhaust. Sometimes going over bumps I can feel it thunk against the pipe and I still have a stock exhaust. Weak! I was thinking of getting a B&M in hopes it would remedy the problem, guess I won't bother!

same problem here, no heat sheilld 2.25" piping, im gonna have to make 2 bends in the exhaust so it wont hit it, and wont cause restriction from just denting it down
