I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not a short shifter off a 1990 Acura Integra would bolt onto a 1997 Civic EX 5spd?
Also in general, is there going to be much if any gain in putting a short shifter on a virtually stock car (CAI is all it has). Are the $20 of ebay going to really shorten the throws by 40-50% or am I better off just leaving the stock shifter in.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin

is the integra a d-series engine? hydro? if so, then i would think so.... i put one from a 00 EX into a 95 Si, but then again they're pretty much identical (drivetrain-wise). There won't be much performance gain, but it does feel much better in my opinion. i wouldn't buy a $20 one off ebay, as most ppl would agree; you never get more than you pay for.

ive havent heard anyone having problems with the off brand short shifter (from ebay) most of them are adjustable and hold up good...

short shifters do feel better and will help you a little bit.
