Short Shifter

I was wondering if anybody makes a short shifter for the 5th gen prelude. The last few shops i have been to said that they only can order the short shifter adapter. Does anybody know if it would make a difference in a new shifter kit vs. just the adapter.

What I've been told is that there is no short shifter for the 5th gen lude. I think there was one kind that's made but it's not all that great. Trust me, I was looking for one like crazy when I first got my car. Some people just told me that they cut their stock shifter and made it look like a short shifter (if you're only into the looks and not its performance). But if you do find one by any chance...please let me know!
I have the neuspeed shortshift adapter and at first i didnt notice a big diff......couple months later i drove another 5th gen. that didnt have one and i could tell a big diff.....mines felt so much shorter and more accurate:D
i cut mine and its a lil shorter..just cut it and get the adapter..
im pretty sure they make adaptors for 5th gens. neuspeed, dc sports, etc. there was even a brand called "pure racing" that was supposed to be really good but they arent around anymore.

did you just slice off some of the threads or did you cut a lot and then thread the unthreaded section with a tap and dye?

also, how does your car handle with ST sways with GCs? im thinking of getting a ST or neuspeed sway set soon.
The greddy shift knob works well too. It threads all the way down onto the the curve. It feels nice and you don't have to cut the shifter.
DC Sport and Neuspeed short shift adaptors are decent ones. Non-adjustable.
The Pure short shift adaptor is 5 way adjustable but they are no longer made.
C's short shift kit is suppose to be very good but I have not had the pleasure of trying one out.
I believe B&M has a short shift kit also. Not as good as the C's short shift kit, but alot cheaper.

the C's shifter is not a short shift adaptor like the others listed. im not sure exactly what assembly it is...but it shortens your shifts and makes them much more smoothe. it also costs $275  dr. james over on PO.com has one on his 4th gen...he says that nothing can compare to the short shifts.

B&M is the best choice for a short shift adaptor, but they do not make them for 5th gens. only 4th.

neuspeed and DC sports adaptors are exactly the same style.

I thought the B&M a short shift kit, not adaptor.
I know for sure the C's kit is suppose to be the best tho.
But $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
where could I find C's short shift kit?
actually b&m discontinued their prelude application for their shift adapter...

you can still find them at www.optauto.com
So is this C's short shifter the whole unit or just another adaptor?

the whole unit. its supposed to be a bitch to install, unlike the regular adaptors which take 5 min.
here is an article on the adapter install. It shows what it looks like and specs on how much it reduces throw should be on the manu's site ,weither you go dc or nue.
