short shifter?

Is a short shifter for a 98 civic going to work on my 2000 civic? It says it works for 88-98 civic, does this mean it won't work for mine or are they compatible?

diff. models of products are made for a reason, is there a 99-00 model for the short shifter you are referring to? if so, get the 99-00 one made for your car.
