can you take these off? i heard they are klips.. are they klips or glued on?... i want to switch over a pair of painted ones...

take off your door panels to remove the side moldings with out bending the side molding bar.....once u bend them they are useless. so remove the door and rear panels to get to the clips and force them from inside out....

Actually, when I worked at honda, they had a tool that would take them off from the outside. Just a suggestion...

Last time, My friend and I just gently pulled them out from outside.

couple of the clips were broken, but they were pretty cheap at Honda.

Worked out ok. We didn't want to go through door pannels and etc.

I'm not sure about the LX or DX models, or anything beyond what I got. But my Canadian '01 EX's side mouldings were actually adhered to the body, so be careful you don't rip off the paint.

I was at one of those "do it yourself" car washes 2 months ago, and the hose took off a good square inch of paint off my front bumper ;(

Oh yeah, and how do I know that the moulding's adhered? cuz i had to replace one of my doors myself after falling into a ditch and taking out an igloo one winter day.
