side note, but would you take an L7 over an IDQ12 D4V.2?

I would personally. The only subs from ID that I have any interest in is the max line. My experiences with solobarics has been good.

Personally, I have 2 JL 12w7's
i have 2-12" S12-D solos right now that i'm semi-happy with. they're being fed a good deal of power from my amp (orion hcca), but don't hit low enough for my liking.

IDQ's go looooow, so i'm leaning more towards one of them. i'm also a fan of infinity perfects and orion hccas. what's your opinion?
Get one D2 IDMAX, put it sealed in 1.5 cuft, and bridge it off the HCCA amp (should be over 600W @ 1 ohm mono) and enjoy. Very low, very loud, very accurate from what I understand.
final question--

given the choice of 1 12" or 1 15" L7, which would you get? both would be running bridged off an orion hcca, getting roughly 1000 clean watts.

It really depends on your goals. How much room are you willing to sacrifice? What type of sound do you want?
i don't want to take up a whole lot of my trunk-- but anything smaller than the 2 12" s12d's would be an improvement, so whatever. i want bass equal to these two.
based on your previous post, go with a single 15" L7 or an IDMAX 12"
