Ok ok ok, beyond the constantly annoying as f*ck ebrake issues (ever since i installed the rear sway the light won't go off...no matter what i do..then ABS fails...and it is not engaged)...but I have a few things left in hopes to find the 1+G area.
First, I see people are battling over which is the best damper/coilover system...so that's pointless (from what I have heard Tein and H&R are king for the price...considering you can find H&R on ebay for under 900$). But, then it comes down to:
Roll Cage (not a problem)
Sway Bars (already done)
Drop of car (depends on coilover/damper kit)
Tie/Strut Bars (done)
Bushings (done)
and tire sizes. (would like a large rear tire setup so no more sliding around ...*coughdoorisn'thappyrightnowbecauseofthat*)
along with Camber kits. (so a permanant AutoX setup isn't needed) [preferably ones with uppercontrol arms and adjustable balljoints]

What is needed to bring a EG civic to up over or really close to a G on the skidpad? Has anyone accomplished this?
I have read up on the SCCA type Rs and they're really not puching too much more than what I already have..but greanted they have "tuners" ...

See if you can get the engine lowered and brought towards the center of the car more.....youd be amazed. Also a lightweight flywheel & crankshaft pulley would help a lot by removing weight over the front wheels....As well as it would help your with balance and you could lower the front more to offset any traction problems.....and lower overall the car's C of G even more the front suspension would also be a lot happier....because less weight would be acting upon it.

Also look into really lightweight wheels...same effect all throughout....

Hope I wasnt just pointing out the obvious...

you may pull better skidpad with a camber kit installed since more tire contact can be accomplished...I am not sure what the best negative camber is for your car...or for that matter even mine.

tires are important...stickier the better. also finding a width thats the best....may be bigger or smaller than what you have?? I am not sure. I am not a tire expert at all.

for tires: I was thinking some really good Yoks paradas or Kumho ecsta supra 712s (205/4x/16) for rims deffinately te37s :)
..umm, pulley system is mostly gone anyways, I perfer not to remove the crank pulley, i have only heard bad things on that. Yet, on the rear (the battery has already been relocated) and I have a pair of 225/50 BFG Gforce TA....

Future: Zex Flywheel, cams, springs, etc etc..head work bleh ($$$)
but i'm still in search for a 92-95 d16 block so i do not encounter downtime while putting on bearings/rings/orings/gaskets [for the turbo build]. but this is another topic :) 12sec drag 1g+ suspensin monster.....THE ABSOLUTE COP RUNNER :) ...not like that i have not tried that lately *cough*

*jYd slips off into the night crying....*

Paradas are some of the worst tires you can buy, and 712's aren't that much better. If you want affordable sticky street tires, the Falken Azenis is where its at, and if you have money, Yoko AVS Sports or Bridgestone S03PP's are the way to go.

However, any R compound tire (Kumho V700 Victoracer or Ecsta V700, Hoosier anything, Yokohama A032R, etc) will blow all of the above out of the water. If you've ever driven on R compounds, you'll know what I'm talking about... it feels like you've turned on the cheat codes in a video game because the car simply does not want to let go.

No, they have tread on them and they're DOT approved. However, after one autox on them, they probably wouldn't be legal anymore. :)

Some people that don't mind replacing tires every 4000 mi or so just keep buying A032R's for the insane amount of traction. But get ready for LOTS of noise, tramlining, rocks thrown at your bodywork, etc.

But they are incredibly stiff. I can sit on an unmounted tire and try to flex it, and it won't bend.

i agree with ridinglow....you arent going to get 1+G on kumho 712's or especially with Paradas.......for a budget tire with excellent grip the Falken Azeni is THE tire right now....better than the Yokohama AVS Intermediates i had before and those used to be the preferred tire and then yokohama discontinued them in 205/50/15 and conveniently the azenis were begun :D

yeah....but my whole things is AutoX in the rain :) I have to be able to pull a G in the rain....and sometimes snow.*cough*
heheh....the new england whether is really picky about this and considering the AutoCopX tourney is not just on tarmac but on gravel, potholes, and even the occasional lawn.

basically, any ideas :)

(and before I try, do 225s fit on the rear?)

you have some incredibly lofty goals for your car that i personally dont see you attaining.

Let's see, the only way you're gonna hit 1G in the rain is with an F1 car at high speed, and the only way you're gonna do it in the snow is if your car is on rails (and someone has brushed all the snow off the rails). :D :p

RE:

you don't need a really wide tires to pull a G

Beleive it or not, if you slap racing slicks on stock suspension, you will see close to a G around corners!!

All you really need is tries like Yokohama A038, A048, or Dunlop D98. Those Yoko Parada, or Kumho 712 isn't your solution. You need tires that really BITE the roads.

You are not going to get 1 G on the snow that's for sure, in wet possible, but needs a lot of tuning. You have a lot of suspension mod, but without a matching set of tires. All those suspension mods are useless. So get some grippy tires. I strongly suggest Yokohama A038 or A048, I have A008RS, and they "GRIP". One bad thing, treadwear 50!? Also, after one quick lap around the track, you better becareful when you walk around your tires, they do heatup pretty good!

As for the size, 225!? Unless you have lots and lots of torque and power, than yes. Otherwise, 205 to 215 is about what you want on your Civic. You can also play around with tracks. Add some wheel spacer to gain a few in of track. That will adds more stablebilities on your cornering, but your won't be able turn as quick as you want them to be anymore. Also, you will need to roll the fender, or make it WIDE BODY!! :D

hehe...FYI: I do not really plan to obtain any where near a G in rain/snow :) but, as for a budget is concerned, and worse road conditions (living in the woods of CT) Granted I do not keep my 'rims' with the low pro's (like some retards do around here) what still remains a decent set? [I'm almost thinking going and picking up some GSR rims and throwing a more cost effective version of the Yok A038/48 but how wide can you go with the GSR rims?
