About a week ago the water pump in my 87' honda prelude busted..my brother just put a new one in and as I was driving home my engine started smoking! So, I don't know if this is just another thing going wrong or if it has to to with the water pump. I'd really appreciate some info. Thanks.

what kind of smoke? color?smell? how fast where u going when this happened?

Did the engine start to over heat when it started smoking, how bad was it smoking

The smoke is white, and I was going about 30-35mph. It did over-heat about a week ago, but I thought I had fixed that problem by replacing the water pump.

white = coolant. Do a leak down test, you prolly have a blown head gasket.

Are you saying it was smoking out the tail pipe or from under the hood?

From under the hood, now it won't even start. When it did start smoke would come out of the tail pipe for the first 10 seconds of driving it.

So you are saying you can go out and start it and it will smoke for the first 10 secs of running then quit, but if you let it run then it will start to smoke from under the hood?
If that is the case I would check your radiator cap and hoses.
