So I'm getting so sick of the new era of rice that's been going around lately. We all know how ghey the fast and the furious era was with all the crazy body kits, neon lights, giant graphics and hidious altezza tail lights. lol but just wanted to start a thread to see what others consider the "new rice" that in a couple years we'll look back and think WTF were we thinking? lol

so i'll start off with a few things i think are sofa-king-we-todded!

1.bike/ski racks on cars (especially if you don't ever use them!)
2.rusted hoods (seriously, why?)
3.cambered the eff out wheels ( is that even safe?)
4.bright colored engine bay's (before this was a sign you were a cheap ass that didnt want to pay the extra bux to get it painted with the rest of your paint job but now its cool?)
5.extended wheel studs on stock wheels (i understand if you need them, but stock wheels?)
6.tow hooks (you know your azz never been to a track to have the need for one!)
7.rhd conversions ( i know alot of people wanna say to be different, but whatever, i can understand if it came like that, or you live where they drive on the opposite lane, but to convert it here in america i think is a waste of money and pretty rice honestly.)

ok so lets hear some more....:D

i think the gay camber thing is the most annoying.....really what is the point? why is it so cool?

and rhd has always been fucking stupid to me. it serves no purpose but making life harder and unsafe......what's the new fad gonna be? mounting your tires backwards for the cool road noise feature?
lol i know i've driven a rhd crx before, annoying ass fawk! try making a u-turn in that bish, almost ran the curb over! i know with practice it can become natural but why? i think the newest fad is gonna be having no trunk or hatch. lol

i just hate the camber thing and how people think it's "HAWT" your car handles like shit and your tires wear prematurely
not to mention the stress it puts on your suspension. i guess you gotta be a baller to ride like that, replacing tires every month and replacing suspension parts every other month.

I don't think bike/ski racks are rice, but I've never seen them on a car that dosen;t have them being used. I'm planning on getting roof rails for my car, but I'd actually use them, as I bike alll the time.

I also think supertones are ricy and gay as fuck.

this is what i'm talking about. i've seen countless cars like this with the rack never being used other than for looks.

i've seen one sad case of a f-150 with the whole bodykit and wing, yes wing, made of plywood! then painted with some red paint that was sparkles on it. neon lights in every possible place you could imagine, and in green at that. lol

here's mine, not the best angle, I guess, but gives you an idea:

I guess I don't have any issues with it, other than the fog light swich placement, which is kinda behind the wheel. Everything else is right there, easy to read, well made.
:dunno: i guess to each his own, i perfer my teg's! lol

I think for a family 4 door, in its time, you'd be hard pressed to find a car that offers a balance of everything it does/did. Thats the point I'm trying to make. I guess I have a hard time seeing why anyone would prefer a Honda Accord to an upscale euro sedan given the choice. The reason most of us go with japeneese products/domestic products is because of money.

For the price, you can't beat the quality and reliability. But assuming everyone had $ you'd see a lot more 3 series/C class ect. rolling around. Keep in mind those are the cars it would be best to compare the 850 to.

^i would rather get this! granted this model came out in 97 the generation before still wasnt so bad. and they started at $35k at its time and was equiped with 2jz at that. and the euro got the twin turboz!!! and went all the way up to 4.0liter v8! not to mention rwd. just sayin....:)

it would be more fair to compare a reg. 850 base to an accord. In which, yes, both cars are fairly comprable. But the volvo is has improved safety, and better fit and finish on the accord in my eyes after being in both. However, the accord is more economical/cheaper.

that car is RWD? Is that a GS or something? Personally, I think they're fuggly. But other than that, you cant go wrong with a 2jz. I like the older GS300 or whatever the coupe thing is lexus had in the 90's. That US marine has one on here, and that thing is sexxy!
yup, gs. the one pictured is the gs400 that came with the v8. which is a beast! 300hp/310lb-ft. the gs300 came with the 2jz. and fuggly? you need your eyes checked man. lol here's a 94 gs300. 2jz 226hp/210lb-ft. ballin!:number1

the sc300:p
