i installed a full d16z6 motor into my 88 crx si and i used all the 92-95 parts except for all the sensors and the Computer. I am running the 91 crx si computer and for some reason my car is really slow. My compression is 190psi evenly across and my computer is flashing code "1" and for some reason i think my car runs slower when i run it for any longer than 45 minutes.

My mods are: I/h/E fuel pressure regulator set at 50(vacuum hose off) a centerforce clutch and a si tranny...my car ran a best of [email protected] which is slower than my D16a6 with only I/E please give me some advice on diagnosing my problems

what do you use to control the vtec since you dont have the sohc vtec ecu?
did u change teh o2 sensor? and how are u activating vtec? where are u activating it? did u change to the older injecters? y arent u using teh vtec fpr its fine for wut u have and its made for the motor it could be that
you need to use the 92-95 civic ex ECU. That ecu was designed to run that motor. The stock ecu for your crx will not have any of the functions that will be needed to run the d16z6. After you switch the ecu's, I would suggest booking a little time at a dyno, so you can tune the car properly, your car will run like it should after that. have fun!

this is true but if hes lazy and it seems like it he can use the older ecu to run the motor and it will run better than that but wont choke teh motor. Id recomend changing to odb1 from teh ex or si. its not hard im me i know someone who makes a conversion harness
