sol vs gsr

GSR is faster than the Si

GSR hands down! there´s a big difference in hp.

An Si could MAYBE beat a GSR only if it´s boosted. MAYBE.

heheeh hard to admit it but ya the GSR kicks the sol ass but still u never know with a guy who is good with sticks .. u just never know

now that my friend I can answer NO...its not faster than the VTEC

i have a 94 vtec del sol, and i have raced two gsrs. good race. i won both times by 1 car to 1 1/2 car lenght. very close race though, but the vtec sol is faster.

i hear that the gsr and del sol vtec were like the same. I read that the gsr was like a few tenths faster in 0-60 and 1/4 mile.

gsr 0-60 in 7.0-7.5, 15.2-15.5
del sol vtec 0-60 in 7.4, 1/4 mile 15.8

Thats the average times that I've read and heard about, but who knows.

I belive the best time for a stock DOHC VTEC sol was 15.2, gsr 15.6, but that close of times means its up to drivers.

It's all in tolerance.

Comparing average Delsol SI to GSR.
GSR will kick buttox..

im not doubting ne one..but how can the del sol VTEC beat the GSR's....but the CIvic Si's cant...when the Civic SI's and Del sol VTEC's are side by side? just curious...thanks guys!

Im not sure how much the del sol vtec weighs, but I've read that it would have to be under 2400 lbs. to beat the gsr. Is it?

they have almost the same horsepower and since the sol is a lil bit lighter its gonna be faster

If you have two equal drivers in both cars, I can't see a VTEC Sol beating a GSR. From personal experience driving a friends GSR at the track and on the street, there is no way a VTEC Sol will out run a GSR. A B16A produces 160HP @ 7600RPM / 111TQ @ 7000RPM and a B18C1 produces 170HP @ 7600RPM / 128TQ @ 6200RPM. The B18C1 makes more TQ and makes peak TQ faster then a B16A. I think the weight difference is between 100-150 lbs, with Del Sol VTECS weighing in at 25xx lbs and GSRS weighing in at 26xx lbs.

most of the time, stats have no meaning in an actual race. just have to race and find out. stats do not equal proof, although i do understand what you have said. sometimes, you just have to race and find out.

Thats true, sometimes stats don't mean a thing. It's just my personal experience that has lead me to the conclusion that a VTEC Sol will not bet a GSR, with two equal drivers. And stats just happen to support my personal experiences.
