I know this guy who can get me hella good deals on any good competition sub, but i just never new were to put it. will subs sound good in the back of our sols, do you need to port it? were should i put them if i get them? I also know that you can get stealth boxes like behind the seats, but i would rather spend the 800 jl audio wants for it towards b16 or turbo, somthing alot more fun.

It's really a matter of opinion on how you like your sound.
I have two twelves(not ported) in my trunk and they sound great to me. I'm not too big on having subs right behind my head in the cockpit of the car. So my advice is to put 'em in the trunk...

Like electricsheep said, it's all a matter of opinion. In my ase I had 2 12" MTX 6000's in my trunk and they didn't sound too good (The sealed trunk was stopping most of the base from getting into the cabin). I looked into the JL stealthbox and 800 bucks for two 8's didn't sound too appealing so a couple days ago (saturday to be exact) I went to an audio store and had someone make me a custom enclosure for where the compartments go. He made me a upward firing box with 2 10" solo baric L5's. They hit incredibly hard!!! But now i have a new problem....there is a bunch of rattling coming from the rear window, and dynamat, b-quiet etc., can't fix it (the rear window only has supports on the left and right sides. This means that the middle rattles uncontrolably). Another thing is that i'm 6'3" and I can't get comfortable b/c the box effects my seat travel. Now the guy is amking me a custom enclosure with 4 8" solo baric L7's. He says that it'll be smaller and therefore i'll be able to tilt my seat back all the way. I should have it in by thursday so i'll let you know how it sounds.

I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH ROOM YOU HAVE I HAVE NEVER INSPECTED A DEL SOL, BUT MY EX BF HAD 1 8" UNDER HIS FLOOR BOARD IN HIS S2000 IT SOUNDED BADASS I COULDNT BELIEVE IT WAS AN 8 ID TRY THAT
