What model is your car... if old model (90) could be speedo cable breaks..if new model could be your speed sensor defective..is the engine light on? if not try to reseat the speed sensor connector and reset the ECU.

Speed sensor located at the clutch beside engine. check this out...

After you reseat it (could be dirty connector) reset your ECU. If still problem.. thats the time you need to replace it.

Thanks guys

I finally figured the sucker out..i guess since ive been driving it round this winter the salt from the road got into the plug and then dried up cause build-up of salt between the connectors which in turn cause my speedometer to not work- So what i did was just take the speed sensor off and cleaned it out and now works like a charm. Thanks for the suggestions and tips though.

Sihatch:)
