Spoon engines

its basically either a b18c5 or a b16b, balanced and blueprinted by spoon, w/ a couple of spoon goodies, they really aren't worth what you'll pay for them, I would trade my nuts for spoon stuff and I still think your money could be a lot better spent

for the money, not worth it.. but its a very nice RACE engine.. abuse it. j/k

actually thats what its made for esp. their B16, its made to revved to all hell and fucking abused like a trailer park stepchild, since everything is balanced and blueprinted and then all the weak points are replaced w/ spoon shit so it has extremely high tolerances. You could even overnight 3 of em from japan w/ T66 turbos, and motec standalone if you want hahahahahahaha j/k, a little F&F

SS Work's B16B/B18Cspec.R (you can choose your engine) with carburettors & 260PS is money better spent than on a Spoon engine. Be aware, however, that these engines are meant for pure race use, so longevity of the engine may be short. Such as frequent rebuilds, etc. If you get a Spoon engine, be aware that fitting a T67 turbo on it (as per Fast & The Furious) will damage it badly. I would think that a B18Cspec.R or B16A/B build-up will be just as good & be much cheaper. All you will be missing is the "kudos" factor.

Doesn't Spoon raise the compression higher and if you turbo'd it you better pray you have a awsome tuner or your screwed?

ya that part of the movie pissed me off...who the hell in thier right mind turbo's a spoon engine...i mean for real....these movie guys spend millions of dollars on that movie but they couldnt do the few hours of research it would have taken to make the movie a little more believable. DAMN RICERS

So a full done engine by Spoon isn't recomended for every day driving, cause my teacher can hook me up with a brand new engine with everything like the tranny, ECU, drivetrain.... done by Spoon for a price around 6-8,000 can which is 3-5,000 us. So you guys really think its not worth it, and that I should just go with a JDM B18C1/5 for example?.

I know you were joking i have seen the movie and shift is right; they better do some research for the next film.

If you can get a spoon engine for 3-5k i would jump on it cause a b18c5 is around $5500 US therefore i think you are full of shit.....but you can prove me wrong with video

spoon engines are highly over rated. they're not meant for daily driving and you could spend your money towards better aftermarket parts to make it as good, or even far better then the spoon engine. like most would say, you're just buying the name.

but hey, its all preference. if you want to have a spoon engine then do so. and 3-5k for an engine? questionable yes. thru hook ups? how many times have we heard that?

Those I guess are the ball park prices ( but pretty close according to him). I trust my teacher, he wouldn't lie to me. He told me 6-8 thou can, he'll hook me up thats what he said, his connection is really close to him, family friend. I'm cool with my Teach. So if it were to anyone else (outsider) I sure the price will differ. But I don't know what type of engine it will be. I seen his car , its a nissan and its wacked out. He knows his shit. He got all his stuff on his car from him. Hey, when I heard those prices I thought he was joking/playing me, but he gave me a short lecture on buying Spoon products/engines. He said when I'm ready to purchase one to give him a call. So I don't think he'll lie with all the stuff we went through.

If i were you i wouldnt trust him sounds like a scam....prob not even a Spoon engine

D15 w/ red valve cover... j/k but seriously if you are telling the truth you may as well get one because its better then a stock b16 or b18 and thats cheaper then one too, I can kinda beleive that price though some of those like FF squad guys get engines SO cheapc cuz they got super hookups, but watch out though make sure you and your teacher know what you guys are doing

Thanks guys, I trust my teacher he has helped other teachers when purchasing vehicles, and students when they need after market parts but only the ones close him. So I guess what you guys are saying is treat the situation like one is in a relationship, keep one eye open when sleeping cause you never know. Aight I see. I'll ask my Teach. to see someones car whom he has "hooked up" with the Spoon engines, before I make my move.
