Hey guys! I'm trying to install my Spoon Tie bar and am having trouble. It seems pretty basic, but I'm still having problems. The instructions that came with it don't help out cause they are in Japanese. Any help would be greatly appreciate it. Like a how-to website or something. Thanks in advance.

instructions:

take out bolt holding lower control arm to subframe (do this on both sides) slide bolt (probalby comes with new longer bolt) through the tie bar and into the subframe through the LCA and thread it in about half way so you have room to work with the other side to....thread that one in and then tighten down both sides and then torque to spec.......

only problem i forsee is you having problems getting the LCA lined up to get the bolt through, its best to have a friend around to help push/pull on it to line it up.....i use a screwdriver and slide it in to see if they are lined up then hammer the bolt in and then when i hit the threading i thread it in......some people have real problems with it, i never have...but i always make sure to have someone to assist lining the LCA up to get the bolt through.....if you have someone to help, the install really is pretty easy....oh yeah, dont burn your arm on your muffler if its hot :D

Thanks!

I thought it was just me or something. It took me about an hour to align the lower control arm just to get that screw back in. Thanks again. I'll try again tommorow or something.

yeah, that bolt is a pain in the fucking ass....i did my first rear lower tie bar install myself and it sucked trying to do that bolt myself....when i tossed out my DC lower tie bar to replace it with my Benen lower tie bar i had my friend come over to help align and install only took 20 minutes that time.

Who ever said it was a pain in the ass was right. That rear lower arm almost snapped my head in half. With the limited space to work with, you can't really align that properly the first time. All I have to say is be careful.....
