I was driving around yesterday, I heard this rattleing sound comming from my 5 Zigen muffler. Then all of a sudden my already loud ass exhaust was 10 times louder. Got home - checked it out and therez a hole the size of my fist at the rear of the muffler !!! Damn !!

N e wayz Need a new muffler (jus the rear portion - axle back). I know about RM and how good it sounds but im not big on mufflers that are TOO loud and annoying.
So I need ur help guys...... How does the Spoon N1 and the Spoon sport muffler sound ?????
Im a BIG fan of deep, grunty sounding exhausts.

N1's are (((((loud)))))

I haven't yet to hear a Spoon N1 nor see the looks of one up close but I know for a fact that an N1 exhaust is loud. I want an N1, preferably the HKS Hiper but Apex'i N1 is a little less pricey. I'll probably have a silencer on it all the time so I'm not sure if really want to get one yet. I love the way they look.

Thanks, im probably gonna head in the the shop on Monday and grab the Spoon N1 - though the RM is still in the back of my mind. I like the fact that the RM has a scilencer, but the Spoon has only a 2" tip. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm curious as to how you got a hole the size of a fist in your muffler in an instant.

To tell u the truth dude I have no idea But its acually not a hole, its a huge crack on the rear of the muffler canister from where the pipe enters the muffler to the bottom of the canister (about 4 " long) . The crack was vibrating violently everytime I accelerated so I had to peel the metal back to make a hole so it wouldnt vibrate so loudly.

Also Its a old muffler I geuss. Weird I know

the apexi dunk sounds pretty badass. so does the apex n1. they sould SIMILAR, not tottally alike though. if youre car is dropped you may want to look into the dunk because it sits higher up and is essecially good for lowered cars.

btw, i too would be intrested to hear what the skunk exhuast sounds like so if you get it review it for us!

Ive never acually heard an apexi exhaust, but i heard its just a quiiter version of the RM.

Yea 4 sure I'll post how the Spoon N1 axle back exhaust sounds like - from wut I heard from the shop its sounds good, esp. when u throw on a turbo kit.

I should have it on by monday or tuesday......stay tuned

the spoon N1 has a very distinctive sound. its likea combo of the two best exhausts out(in my opinion), i have heard one once on an ill hatchback, and too me it sounded just plain mean. it had a racing medalion sound from the begining but then it got kinda like an Apex'i N1 when it hit vtec. it was a beautiful thing.::sniffle, sniffle::

i know this might seems a dumb question., my muffler is screwed up too, can you just order the muffler and leave the piping that came with the old one, How can you just order a muffler? I have 2 1/4" piping but say if i wanted like an Apexi of Spoon muffler, could i just do that?

yea, you can just get the muffler. why is your muffler messed up? thats what my friend did with his apex'i sp. all the packing came out of it and he got a 5zigen fireball muffler and kept the piping.

Was it a real 5zigen? I bought a new Fireball recently and i thought the quality was good. Now I'm scared because of your horror story!

Tell me it was an old, rusty imitation of a 5zigen, please...
