probably all said and done you should be shelling out about 30 bills or so maybe cheeper if you dont rebuild anything. Good luck and tell us how it goes if it happens.
i have the FMAX kit, VAFC, EGT, boost, air/fuel gauges, 2.5" custom dual exhaust, MSD wires, and Denso Iridium plugs. i have an ACT clutch and Fidanza flywheel ordered so hopefully i can put them on next weekend if they get here. it was installed in April of this year. it has about 7000 miles on it. runs great. my motor gets a little hot with the 5w30 oil in it. i had 15w50 in it before and it ran perfect so this weekend its gettin changed again. hopefully i can get a Greddy Profec-B boost controller soon. i wanna run 10 lbs and i'm gonna go to the track. i'll have time slips after October 19th and 20th. i'm gonna run for the first time at Maple Grove. might go get some 1/8 mile times this weekendPeachBoy said:so u just have the fmax kit and nothing else? how long have u had it for? and how much did u pick up ur fmax for?
not like its a big deal but i have an F23. even better for you though cause the F22 has lower compression than the F23. i just raced a 4th gen Lude with an H22 swap, all the bolt ons, clutch, flywheel. i'm un-tuned, running 5 lbs of boost, and still on my stock clutch with 93,000 miles on it thats slipping like a bitch and he beat me but not by much at all. he had about a hood length lead on me from 0-50 and he stopped. and from 40-100 is where i have all my power at. no doubt i would have caught him. i'm rolling on 18's. he had his stock 15's. and i cant launch with my clutch. his car was just faster at the time. oh wellPeachBoy said:98accordex- nice! im looking for an fmax right now, but its hard to locate one from the shops around toronto...i may have to order it online if all else fails...i was going the h22 route, but have since changed my mind...its nice to hear succesful stories about ppl building their f22's...good job
its gonna be cheaper to order it directly from FMAX. www.f-max.com if you go through a store they have to make money too. just cut down on the middle man and get it yourselfPeachBoy said:wow...nice...and only 5 lbs and on 18's! im already feeling cocky and i dont have it yet lol
i talk to a guy on another board that has an FMAX kit on an automatic and he says it runs fine. i think he has a tranny cooler to keep it a little cooler. take care of it and dont beat it everydayspeed2infinity said:Hey. I have an auto I4, unfortunately, so could I still run a turbo reliably? I mean, did you hear about people blowing their trannies when driving with the turbo on? Thanks. You got that kit for a very good price, man! Another web site is: www.turbo-kits.com I think. Or without the dash there.
