Anybody else have this problem? My 94 has a very smooth gas pedal "push". The new 96 seems "sticky" and makes the acceleration jumpy because it get's caught-up sort of.....it's hard to explain....sticky is my best word.

I got some liquid wrench and sprayed the areas below the pedal that had joints - the only result I got out of that was a stinky car.

Any ideas?

When I took my '96 EX to the dealer to get a tune-up, they mentioned that there was a recall on the throttle cable for my year. They replaced it for free. I would mention your problem to your local Honda dealer.

Yup. Most likely it is. Open your hood, locate your throttle body pulley and clean it out. Sand and **** gets in there pretty easily. You also might want to lube up the pulley a bit while you're at it.
