my check engine light keeps on coming on when i have it at 40psi. so i'm adjusting it whenver ti comes on to lower. because OBD II is reading it as too rich. i had it checked out at honda and the OBD II diagnostic thing said it is running too rich. its at 36 1/2 right now. that honda dealer told me stock for Si's is 34-35 psi.

34 -35??? mabey with the vacume hose still attached. That will only give you the psi at idle You need to know the max PSI or WOT PSI or whatever you want to name it. You can only find this out when the FPR is not operating under vacume and thus at its full potential. This is the # to be concerend about when adjusting for performance.

I have seen your problem whith the 1999 Si's but only when running around 50 PSI. It can usually be solved by clearing the code after you change the pressure. You should do this anytime you change the airflow or fuelflow capabilities of your engine. You need to let the ECU set new paramiters. It will more than likely comback but just ignore it because that code is there mainly for emmisions perposes.

So to adjust fuel pressure, i have to take the hose off first and then adjust my fpr? On the import tuner website, under the "tech" page, they added cams to a 2000 civic si. It says there that they increased fuel pressure from stock 42 to 48 psi. Now would that be with or without the vacuum hose on? Because right now, I have it at 46 with the vacuum hose on and i have a check engine light!!!

Whithout. Did anyone read the instructions that came with your FPR? It tell's how to adjust it and by how much. Also I necer heard of a honda stock fuel pressure being below 38 psi and Im sure the B16A needs a little more fuel, I would say try another dealer. Also are you clearing the code everytime you adjust the psi or are you just changing it and the code goes away?

I would clear the code... but then it would come back in a few days. Then, i would just let it stay on and maybe in a week or two, it'd go away!
