after class i went to my car to go home. i turned the ignition and the car started, but the revs dropped and the car turned off. tried again, same thing happened. this happened like five times. then i puched the clutch in , and it started fine. i have no idea what was up with the car. its an '88 si by the way.

well in 88 there was no clutch safety thing i should know its not a good thing not to have but did it rev up and just shut off or wut

yeah it reved up then dropped down

it could be teh eacv its on the back of teh intake manifold controls idle

Sounds like a Vacuum problem or ignition..... check the thing Dom said, as well as your distributor.....
