Stupid Navigator owner cant keep up...

Coming home from the Bronx this afternoon, I witnessed a Lincoln Navigator (300HP Intec V8 Version) and a Ford Expedition going at it down Mosholu Parkway. After watching these 4-door tanks hog the roads I stepped on the gas to kick down to 2nd gear and blew past them in the left lane...The Expedition exited and the Navi continued on, eventually coming behind me and hi-beaming me. When this happens I don't step aside and get out of the way, I make sure that fool never catches up to me and has the nerve to flash his fake HID's at me, especially if he's driving a vehicle that has no business in the left lane of an expressway..Anyway long story short, I left his 5000 lb ass in the dust and he tried real hard to catch up but the car wasnt up to it. I don't think he yet realizes he's not driving a sports car but I think I showed him I won't be intimidated just because he drives a giant truck...

by the way the driver was some black dude, not to stereotype but all the brothers I know with dubbed out bigbody trucks dont act like Alex Zanardi but this loser had Florida plates on..maybe all those blue hair retirees get out of his way but not a New Yorker, ya heard!!

NIce kill Mikey!!! I encounter those tanks all the time on Mosholu pky. I live right in Tracey Towers ( Those 2 really big grey buildings west of the parkway) and everytime I hit Mosholu pky or even the Deeghan Expy ( did I spell that right?) there is always some punk trying to intimidate me to race or to get bold on the road.....especially Ford Explorers and expeditions. Why the hell any truck would wanna race a sports coupe is beyond me too!!!!!

Sounds like a floridian for sure. All these SUV dumbasses swear up and down that their shit is fast. The only thing that shit is fast at is rolling over. Which by the way happens hear daily.

Come to California and you see how many SUVs are on the road! BTW good kill on the Navigator V8 on the HW!

actually thats why i was there today, my little brother got accepted and today was a open house....

Oh BTW the actual "beatdown of the Navi" came on the Bronx River Pkwy..but this guy was on my ass all the way from Paul Ave...

ur serious...ur all happy cuz your 3400lb 200hp car can beat a 300hp 5000+lb SUV???wow....i really hate to flame but thats just...wrong...i dont go racing hummers tell everyone that a hummer cant hang with a "sports car"...shit i beat some dumbass in a new chevy pickup with a 5.3L...am i cool??? he had stickers too

0-60 -> 7.8sec
1/4ml - > 16sec & 86mph

i think there are only three fast SUV's;
BMW 4.4L X5, 0-60 -> 6.7sec, 1/4ml -> 15.2sec & 91mph
Grand Cherokee 5.9L V8, 0-60 -> 7sec, 1/4ml -> 15.5sec & 86mph
Mercedes-Benz ML55 AMG, 0-60 -> 6.8sec, 1/4ml -> 15.3sec.

the mag tests that i have seen put the new caddy at low 7s and mid 15s

and u forgot the new BMW 4.6is in ur lineup up the fast SUVs
it has a 340hp 4.6L V8, awd, and all sittin on stock 20"s
it is now the worlds fastest SUV
0-60 6.2 and quarter in the mid 14s

those 5.3L chevy trucks are no joke either
my friend has one with intake, exhaust, and hypertech programming, when it was stock he would bearly beat me, if i would ice up my manifold i would get a better time than him at the track, if not he would take me by a car

its probably run low to mid 15s now

you're stupid..the point of the story is not to race a Navi, the point is the stupid driver thinks he's driving a race car and obviously isn't. That's why the subject is "Stupid Navigator OWNER" you see keyword OWNER?? So think before you post, i don't post stories of retarded races.

The track? I know a lot of ppl do their 1320 thing but I firmly believe the AV6 is not a 1/4 mile monster in any form so you will never see me at a track.. Why blow money for a horribly disappointing time slip??

And as hard as a Esco could accelerate...on the HIGHWAY (remember where this story takes place?) it could NEVER keep up.

i didnt say just cause it has 345hp it can beat us, i didnt mention the weight, power or TORQUE

i just posted the times i got in several mags
like motortrend, they got 7.4 0-60 and [email protected] quarter mile
and it did take place on the highway, so it has a pretty good chance of taking u from 0-90

Hey what's up. First off, nice going with the Navi. He's got no business racing a coupe. (Actually, racing at all) I live in Toronto and that same s#!t happens here. Unfortunately a month ago a teenager was taken out because some fool in a Cherokee, racing a civic, lost control and hit this kid waiting for the bus. Kid didn't know what happened 'cause he had headphones on. (My respects to the family)

Hey I'm all for speed. I love the IMPORT culture (NOT THE ONE THEY SHOW ON FAST AND THE FURIOUS) and the feeling you get when VTEC kicks in!!! But racing an SUV just sucks. What are you trying to make it up because you know all that money could've bought a nice sports car?

Anyways, I've learned a lot from all you ACCORDBOYz and GURLz and I appreciate the tips. I'm putting a system in my coupe and I'll post pics soon. I've got a great idea on where to mount the amp.
