since when were mustangs made to go fast in just straight lines? not to mention the cobra is like 11 years older. and the STi is modded. not hard to make power on either car. got a buddy with a wrx/sti engine swap, it's re-tuned+meth injection, and d[email protected]

kinda seemed like the sti only passed when the mustang let off?

On the first race the Cobra mustang couldn't break traction at all what so ever but if you notice on 2nd race look very closely the guy in Cobra mustang seems to be launching pretty low actually but i guess since he spun his rat ass on first race he maybe launched way to high now he launched way to low so its very odd...But you saw on every run how hard the Cobra mustang would just expect if it was even from just a 20mph roll lol.

Mustangs were built to go in a straight line way before you ever heard of the term domestic in your younger years..

since always. stupid question
how about the fox? sorry to be argumentative, just having a hard time believeing that every mustang prior to 2000 handles like trash. maybe stock? but even a few mods and it cant be that bad?

no need to be an ass ;)

You're maybe right, an average BONE STOCK GT mustang or Cobra doesn't handle that great stock but if you get good suspension kit for them like Sportlines or something & build the rest of the stuff properly then they can start handling better but overall in straight line Mustangs are monsters with simple mods.

it seams like the SRT-4 would keep up if its was on a roll.

i thought the STI would lose.
THE STi lost most of the races except for that one from outside side view...But the Cobra kept raping it on top end & then THE FUCKING ASSHOLE STi driver kept doing a gay riceboy flyby, just listen to Cobra when he lets off then when STi blows by lol. Thats what i keep going until other dick lets off first BUT THATS IF THEY CAN EVEN KEEP UP haha...

don't be ignorant. Mustangs were made a track cars back in the day. And not drag track cars. Trans Am and many other series use them as road racing cars and they are very good when set up right. They still win races in mustangs. Don't be stupid man......

Besides those races were dead even and that mustang was pulling on the Subaru once they started moving. Dead even up until the high speed where the Mustang was faster.
