Im looking to get sway bars for my 4th gen prelude before the autoXing season starts. i have no idea which one(s) to get.

so far this is the info ive gathered:

most of these prices are retail, but whatever

Suspension Techniques - Front and Rear, for like $250 or less. only problem is you have to drill your own wholes cause it uses different points than the stock sway bars. I also heard that the quality or result isnt as good as other brands.

Eibach - Expensive, and i dont even think they make them for my car. does anyone know?

Neuspeed - Front = $200, Rear = $400.... nuff said....

Tanabe - i think they only make the front and its $300

so what the hell do i get? should i get both? some people say only get the rear. some people say stay with your stock ones, and just remove the front. some people say you need both. im totally confused!

please help, for autocrossing is coming up next month!

I felt a difference with my Neuspeed Rear Tie bar right away. It was a bit*h to get in but it was designed well and works well.

if youre gonna be autoXing, then you at least need to get a rear sway bar. they make a huge difference. then when you have some extra money lying around, get the front bar and strut bars.

dont waste money on tie bars until you have the sway bars installed. Lower/upper tie bars were built to go WITH a sway bar. by themselves they wont do shit! Buy a beefy rear sway first off, and you will see a huge performance difference. once you get that puppy installed, move to the front, then the rear upper tie bar, and finally rear lower tie bar. This is the order you will see the best performance from imo.

wutangben.....I would go with JUST a tanabe swaybar for the rear. The understeer is horrible in our cars and the tanabe is a big phat ass bar in the rear I like the double meaning PHAT anyway buy that. Thats going to be my next suspension mod if you ask me. I will be running

Neuspeed front strut bar
LSR rear strut bar
Skunk2 coilovers
KYB agx adj shocks
And finally finishing it with a tanabe rear swaybar

you dont want any bigger than 25mm, the neuspeeds were like 28mm, but they were tearing up the suspension so they changed em...just get the S/T , I LOVE MINE...for 218 you cant go wrong..

I think they recorded ONE person with a prelude actually damaging the mounts.

if you have high spring rates a swaybar is less likely to tear out....but if you have stock rates and get a HUGE bar its going to tear pretty much unless you have it super-welded on.
