first of all, suspension techniques is only 19mm, comptechs is a huge 22mm.

go with comptech. it's a tad pricey, but it's an amazing setup. i LOVE mine. and the red anodized billet tie bar is really nice to look at from behind the car. it really sets you apart from the crowd, i have yet to see another car in my area with the kit:D

here's a pic to see the HUGE difference between the stock 13mm unit, and the 22mm comptech bar!!!

definitely go with the Comptech setup. The upgrade from the 13mm to the 22mm is HUGE! If my car was not for sale right now, and i was still into modding my car, that would have been my next modification. It will cost you, but it is completely worth it!

I have the mugen 22mm sway (actually its under my bed) and plan on getting the skunk2 tie bar to work with the mugen upper tie bar I already have. Don't intall any rear sway bar without after market springs or coilovers, you will break you subframe, that is why the mugen is under the bed. I will post when I get springs and everything installed, should be pretty good.

Wrong. The suspension techniques single sway or the rear in the kit with the front and back is 19mm. They do offer a sway, tie bar combo like comptech which is 22mm and goes for about 280. This works as good as comptech from people who have it but costs considerable less. Last place I've seen it was at www.optauto.com

The Sway bar offered in the sway/tie bar kit by S/T is 22 mm indeed and it's $280 at optauto.com. I think this will be my choise.
2 more questions:

1. Do I need to mount tower rear bar as well?
2. Can I use this set (S/T sway/tie bar kit + TENZO REAR STRUT BAR) w/ my stock suspension?

For the time being I cant put coilovers, lowering springs, shocks or anything else than the stock suspension as it will be a warranty violation. My local dealer said that strenghtening the rear and installing an CAI is all that he could allow. For other mods I'll have to wait till the end of 2004 :(

Furthermore I have to know exactly does what I'll buy will fit.
This is because I cant resale or exchange those parts ot it will be too expencive.

Thank you

1. You don't have to.
2. Yes you can use that set with your stock suspension.

Hmmm void your warranty for suspension? Wow that's a strict dealer. Hey man, you should definately upgrade your tires. They make a world of a difference if you're on the stock shittillins. They will improve you handling significantly.

Well ... I'm w/ the stock 15" rims now and the best sport tire that can be found here at affordable price - Dunlop 195/45/15.

Someone told me that upgrading to 17", as I wanted, is not so good as I'll lost speed and power ...

Any rim size/tire suggestions?

Right now I am running my stock rims with Dunlops SP Sport 5000's in 205/50/15. Bad ass all season tire! If you are not worried about all seasonbility, check out the Kumhos ECSTA Supra 712's or Bridgstone RE730's. The Kumhos are cheap but they have great reviews on them. I think the best tire size for the stock rims are 205/50/15.

HEK-
The Civic si shares its entire body with all other civics, most of which don't use rear sway bars at all, so that area has not be engineered to handle much abuse. The area around the bolts connecting the bracket to the subframe will rip through or enlarge the original holes. This is what I mean by subframe ripping. Go to w w w . c l u b s i . c o m and do a search in the forum section for some gutwrenching pictures. There are precautions to be taken such as: firm rear spring to decrease body roll, reinforcement plates sold through kingmotorsports which they advice you have welded on (they actually e-mailed that recommendation to me after I asked them about subframe damage), proper installation, and continued maintance including lubing the slide points of the bar. Hope this helps

well damn, i've heard this before, but i'd like even MORE clarification. I've got a ex,,,and i know i have a factory rear sway bar, and pretty sure that i have a front one too. I also have H&R full coilovers and am planning on adding sway bars. I thought though that the subframe has a chance to rip apart if you use like 22mm bars or bigger? am i way off? anyone clarify this for me? i'm so lost about what to do now!:(
thanks

Stock civic subframe can handle a sway but of sizes like the 13mm stock one. When you make the jump to 22mm then the subframe will not be able to handle it, especially if you drive hard around corners. The beaks kit seems better to me than the king plates and a lot of autocrossers use it with success but it is more expensive than the king but looks better to me. Check it out at this link:
