I'm planning on building a custom kit using t3/t4 for my ITR. OK, heres the deal, I plan to run 10psi initially, intercooled, controlled by Apexi Power FC standalone ECU with stock internals. This will be my first turbo install which I'm planning to do myself. My questions are:
1) What is the size of the stock injectors and will they be maxed out @ 10psi?
2) Is it advisable to run higher output injectors like 750cc on only 10psi. As I plan to fully build the block and run a much higher boost later, I will soon need bigger ones.
2) Is the stock fuel pump sufficient for 10psi? If not, which type is the best one to get?
3) Is anyone running or does anyone know if I can use the pre-pregrammed maps built into the Power FC initially after fitting the turbo; at least to drive the car to the garage to be tuned.
4) Does the size of the intercooler effect performance (ie., would a BIG intercooler produce more lag?)?, for instance, using one from GTR R34, if I can get it to fit.
5) Is it easy to remove the stock oil pan from the car (I presume its the only way to make a hole and do the welding for the turbo oil return line..)?
6) What hp roughly should I expect @ 10psi?

Any advice on bits to get, install and tech tips will be greatly received.

Ken,

Thanks man, appreciate your feedback.

SoFlaGS-T,

I know what you mean and have thought about it seriously. I felt the same way too but to get that sort of power by going the N/A route is going to make me homeless...:D and I cannot afford to get another block to turbo it with, if I had extra $$$, I would get a B18C1 or B16A and turbo that instead.

Anymore out there ??? Pls keep em coming!!
