So the dash lights and the parking lights work when the headlight switch is turned to the "parking light" setting but don't work at the "headlight" setting?
tail lights and dashboard illumination out
Honda Prelude 2.0s 1990 model.
I was wondering if anyone could help out with my electrical issue.
Several weeks ago my dashboard illumination started flickering on and off. After a few days the illumination failed to work. Subsequently my tail lights have stopped working as well.
If I turn the knob on the headlight control towards the "parking lamp" setting the dashboard will illuminate and tail lights turn on. The brake lights and turn signals are OK. I have checked all the fuses and they are OK.
Any ideas and/or suggestions?
Any help is much appreciated.

When I click the roller to the headlight setting the dashboard illumination and tail lights go out.

When you turn the switch all the way for the headlights to come on do the headlights come on?
More than likely, it's a problem with the switch itself. You may need to replace the headlight switch.

Yea, The headlights work fine, it's just the dash and tail lights. Thanks for your suggestion. If you or anyone else has any ideas please let me know.
