Sometimes it would be nice to have a car again. I haven't had a car in over 2 months now.

Here is my current ride, a 2006 Surly Karate Monkey:

is it sad I have a bike worth a lot more than my car??? Oh well, I fucking love this bike and I don't even feel bad about the 2k it cost me to build it. Least I'm using it everyday, and you can't beat the MPG's on a bike, or the cost to own.

Shockingly enough, it is. Girls ask me for more rides then when I owned a bike. They never say it's cute though, just "It's so cool." Or "That is so awesome." Girlfriend gets really pissed when I ride solo because she has noticed it. Lol. On the negative, it's a car magnet, people don't like to get passed by a scooter. Mostly SUV or sport car guys, usually Mustang drivers, and of course the soccer moms.

same, always had girls wanting to ride on my bike, but there were two problems.

1.) The anemic 250 can't really handle another 100+lbs of weight of another person

2.) I hated riding with other people on the bike personally, I always felt skechy riding with a passenger, and I didnt wanna dump the bike and have anyone come off and get hurt.

hey, that volvo has 190k on it and was never driven gently by either me or its previous owners, since I know them all. I'd say she had a good run.
