Anybody running 205/50-15 on a 92-95 civic sedan?

The correct Plus 1 conversion from my car would be 195/50-15 but diameter is shorter than OEM. 205/50 is closest match but I want to make sure I won't run into clearance problems. (Rims will be 15" factory steel off '02 civic, running Eibah Pro-Kit springs.)

Before you all start suggesting 16-17" is better I guess I should tell you I'm trying to keep my car a sleeper so I really do not want custom wheels.

15s are a good size for the Civic...
As for the tires, you want something that is within 3% of the overall size of the stock wheel/tire combo. If the 205/50/R15 is the closest size to the stock overall diameter, then it should be ok...it'll just be a little bit wider than the 195/50.

Thanks Bampf. I installed 205/50VR15 Vredestein Sportrac's today, they fit perfect on '02 Civic steel rims, and it fills the wheel wells without rubbing. Sure looks a hell of a lot better than 195/50-15s or the previous 185/60-14's and still has a nice OEM appearence with the 02 civic wheel covers.

The steel wheels may not be as light or as pretty as the alloys but I only paid $10 bucks each for them w/ the covers (take offs from local Honda dealer) - great way to upgrade on the cheap!
