I know there are lots of things that i should replace before getting underway in the peformance arena.

Water pump
Spark plugs
Wires
Cam seals
Change Oil
timing belt


Can you guys think of anything else i should do for prevenative maintainance? I've already changed the plugs, wires and oil

Maybe check the injectors, change the clutch, tranny fluid, gaskets.

Do front and rear main seals too. They are a bitch to do later.

maybe get some parts like cams cam gears a good clutch replace teh headgasket with a thinner one i dunno skunk2 intake manifold blah blah blah i know $$ but its worth it

yeah, i need to get a new clutch for sure. And a new tranny. I used to chirp 3rd w/ my old d16a6, and the only thing i had on that was a aem short ram. NO other mods. But now, i can't even chirp 3rd...i feel...bad

which seals are the ones next to the distributer?
