ok, what are your views on this. 99DX (stock engine) and NOS. Some people tell me do it, some people tell me it will kill the engine. I want to hear from people that have tried it and what their comments are. I know most people will suggest do a swap but i want to hold off on it for now. I want to start with A/E/H then move to NOS. I'm just looking for some more hp

wait till you can afford a swap. You won't be able to use the NOS as much and if you don't do your heads, rods, pistons, you might blow you engine. But if you use it properly you engine might last one or two years before it melts...LOL, and you have to be very carefull, an extra second or a bad move gearing and you are done....DX engines are way way way too weak.....so you'll have to spend at least 1,500 doing the heads, rods, rings, etc (reinforcing the engine), I would advice you to save for a swap instead.
