Just remember, AV6, TL, and CL owners are all going to buy these suckers and then they will either...
1) Blow up their tranny and sell it...
2) Have problems tuning it and sell it...
3) Get tired of crappier mileage and sell it...
4) Will eventually have had enough fun with it and sell it...
5) Will trade/sell their car and the CT SC?. They'll sell it...
6) Their wives will say "you bought WHAT?!?!" and they'll sell it...
7) Will realize they couldn't afford it and sell it...
8) Insert reason HERE and they'll sell it...
Do you guys get my point yet?
The Nissan Maxima has had supercharger kits available for awhile now (Stillen and V2 I think). There's always someone within the community that's either selling or about to sell their S/C kit. The kits hold their value pretty well, but people sell them for $2000-3000 usually, which is a helluva lot better than $4500.
So stay tuned on the various AV6, TL, and CL boards (and eBay) for used Comptech S/C kits
Yeah, that CT SC sticker price is pretty steep and definitely for the v6 sport car fanatics that have lots of $$$. Besides that a battery is not included . . . you'll need to purchase the smaller Integra battery in order to fit it in the v6 engine compartment. Or you could always relocate your full size battery to the trunk.
Now the installation of the CT SC will take around 4 - 5 hours to complete, for a well trained and equipped mechanic, which will probably run you another $500, so plan on spending $5K on this mod.
The AV6 CT SC will available at the end of this month (March). Comptech is thinking about showing their Supercharged AccordV6 at the SEMA International Salon Show next month in Long Beach, and also demostrating it at the "Open House" , which is still being scheduled out. . .
