Does anyone have any experience with the tokico illumina struts and red springs? I"m about to put them on my 93 accord and very excited since they are adjustable. Since I don't have a spring compressor and don't want to kill myself I'm paying someone 375 bucks to put them on is this worth it also includes alingment so it sounds cheap to me.

kinda like a performance shop..........

It's kinda like a performance shop cause they put aftermarket products on your car. Seems reputable cause they are always busy. I live in AZ and the closest one is called Gregs japenese auto shop. Wow never knew that is considered expensive? 300 bucks to install my strut and springs and then alignment I thought that was deal. Hmmm.....maybe look around.

You know, I would really have suggested that you do it yourself if you told me that your suspension was still on the way. That way you'd at least have time to go and research the installation process. I did it. I am so glad I did! I feel a great sense of accomplishment and I saved a whole heap of money!!! It was hard work, but I'm tellin' you it was really worth it for the money I saved and the knowledge I gained! Shoot! I could do it for someone else now and get paid for it!!! Get a Helms manual for your car and stop spendin' so much for installation!!!!
IMHO, all you should pay a mech to do when it comes to suspension is your computerized alignment.
My $.02:rolleyes:

Well, I just got back from getting my alignment done, and it was $69.99. That's prob'ly high for an alignment, but who cares? I took it to the Honda dealer just to be sure. I did the install myself, so I'll take $69.99 over $100, $200, $300 any day.
Aight, I'm done with this thread unless anybody has any Suspenion install on a 2000 Accord Coupe I4 questions.

300 is way too much, the alignment isnt more than 50-60 bucks and ur gonna 300 just to install the springs and struts. First of all theres no extra labor to install a strut when ur changing ur springs, cause u need to take off you struts anyways. In my opinion you can get a better deal. I got mine installed at a shop here for weapon r springs and install for 250.00 so i know ur paying too much. After i saw how easy it is i would say do it urself, its not hard at all.

I still say do it yourself. It is not hard. It is just a long process. As for alignments, $70 sounds about right. For me, I had to pay a little bit more since I have 18 inch wheels and I have a lowered car. I am sure I could have gotten a better deal but I was tired from looking for a place that does alignments for 18 inch wheels.
